braided cheesy pesto bread

  it honestly looks like a green yeast monster with really loose stool oozing out of every single crevice of its body. yep I just sabotaged myself with a terrible description but trust me, it may be ugly but it’s super delicious. Half of it was eaten before it even had time to cool 🙈
  My first time using my new DeLonghi oven that is much bigger than my previous oven. Now I can bake more than 6 cookies at once.  here’s how simple it is:

  1. Add 2tsp of dry yeast into 1cup of warm water with a teaspoon of sugar. Let stand for 10mins
  2. Add 1/2tsp salt, 1tbsp olive oil
  3. Mix in flour until you get soft elastic dough(I used more than 1 3/4  cup)
  4. Let rise in an oiled bowl till double in size(approx. 1hour)
  5. Press air out and roll dough out onto a floured surface (i divided dough into two for two loaves)
  6. Spread pesto and cheese(as much as you like)
  7. Roll it up lengthwise
  8. Cut into half lengthwise leaving about an inch
  9. Twist the two long ends, brush with olive oil, sprinkle Parmesan and garlic powder (optional)
  10. Bake at 425F for about 25mins or until the bread fairy calls you 🙂
